Refund and Cancellation Policy

Effective August 11, 2026

Cancelling

You can cancel a subscription at any time from the billing portal in your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for — cancelling does not cut you off immediately.

Refunds

We do not give refunds. Payments already made — first purchases and renewals, monthly and annual — are final. What we offer instead is the ability to leave at any moment without penalty, and to keep everything you have already paid for.

  • Cancel whenever you like. There is no minimum term, no notice period and no cancellation fee. Cancel from the billing portal in your account.
  • You keep the time you bought. Cancelling stops the next charge; your access runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling on the last day of a month still gives you that whole month.
  • Renewals are final, so we tell you one is coming. Before every renewal we email the address on your account — about a week ahead on monthly plans, about a month ahead on annual — with the renewal date and the amount. The same date and amount are always visible in the billing portal in your account. Cancelling at any point before that date prevents the charge entirely.
  • Annual plans. An annual payment covers the full year and is not refunded in part if you stop using the Service. Your access continues for the whole term you paid for.
  • Licence changes. Removing a licence takes effect at the next renewal. We do not refund part-periods for reduced seat counts.

If you are unsure whether GCF Data fits your business, use the free demo before you buy rather than buying to find out — that is what it is there for.

If we end your access

If we terminate your account without cause, we refund the unused portion of anything you have prepaid. If we terminate for a breach of the Terms, we do not.

Problems with the data

The Service aggregates government records that are sometimes incomplete or delayed at source. That is not by itself grounds for a refund — but if the Service is materially not doing what the pricing page says it does, tell us and we will make it right.

Getting in touch

There is no refund request process, because payments are final. Cancelling is what stops a charge, and you can do that yourself from the billing portal in your account at any time, without asking us.

Do write to us through the contact page, using the email address on your account, if something else is wrong: we ended your access without cause, the Service is materially not doing what the pricing page says it does, or you believe you have been charged in error. Where money does go back for one of those reasons, it returns to the original payment method through Stripe, usually within 5–10 business days.
